The February Edition: My Wardrobe

Hello everyone. So today I decided to do something a little bit different and new. Last month, if you didn’t catch it, I wrote a series of wardrobe posts about my clear out and new wants. Now, it’s been a while and I’ve picked up a few new things, so I thought I’d tell you about the new outfits I’ve been wearing this month.

The January Update.

Hey everyone. So somehow we have landed at the end of January and I can’t quite believe it. I’m not normally one for whizz-past months but this January has! I think with my pre-GCSE time running slowly out and hectic weekends filled with work, a lot of my time may feel like this so I thought I’d update you on my January- what I’ve been up to, loving and looking forward to!

The Pretty Playsuit I'll Wear All Summer Long...

Hey everyone. I have been loving summer so much at the moment. I never used to be a huge fan of the months- it always seemed to be filled with sunburn, overheating and self-conscious outfits. However this year I’ve embraced it. I’ve been filling my holiday with trips and days out with friends and family, and the British weather hasn’t been all that bad either! I have also been feeling more comfortable in summery outfits. Yes there is more skin showing and I can’t hide in cardigans and jackets- but I’ve found some cracking new outfits I’m obsessed with! For this look, I combined my new playsuit and some simple accessories for a cool fun look.

My Outfit: Lovely in Lace

Hey,
So today’s post is another instalment of ‘My Outfit’. This was actually the outfit I wore yesterday, but I loved it so much I wanted to show you. I wore this to a dressy/casual friend’s birthday meal and it was definitely something a little different for me.
This skirt was actually quite out of my comfort zone, and I’m so happy I decided to try something new. For me, my favourite thing to wear is a crop top matched with a skater skirt. This style of skirt holds the waist but is the flow-ey around the stomach. The skirt from Topshop is not like that, it is figure hugging and a straight style. I also think the lace skirt and lace cut-out on the top look fab together. I really like this look and I know that I’ll be wearing a lot when I go out for more dressy nights.
To see my post I did all about the shoes I'm wearing, just click here.

MyOutfit: Christmas Jumper | Blogmas Day 15

Hey,
So today’s post is going to be a new type of series. Similar to an OOTD, I want to create a series of ‘my outfit’ posts. I basically changed the way that I was doing these types of posts because I wanted them to be more like a series and I’ve decided that I dislike the phrase OOTD! I hope you like this, you’ll be seeing a few more soon I’m sure!

My outfit today is based on how I love to wear my Christmas jumper. Everyone has a festive jumper and they are perfect for this time of year for a simple look. My jumper isn’t too tacky or in your face, but this look can work with the fashion or cheesy type.

If you were wondering, my jumper has tiny little penguins and silver snowflakes on it and I choose it because it was subtle. I wanted something that I could style more, instead of a mad 3d creation-although they are super Christmas-sy and a laugh. The jumper is so soft and the grey colour makes it very wearable.

I styled my jumper with a black skirt and opaque black tights. The tights I am wearing are actually amazing because they are fleeced inside! This makes it so much easier to wear a skirt in winter! If you are really up for a novelty Christmas then why dont you wear a festive hat like my Christmas pudding one! Mines from Primark menswear.

I am also wearing some shoes I am seriously excited for. I am very lucky ans I was recently bought these brown Chelsea boots after having wanted a pair for MONTHS. My Primark boots have finally given up and I wanted a neater less-casual pair for this winter. I love brown boots so much and adore this style but I hesitated because I wasn’t sure I could pull them off. However I eventually decided that I really did want them and I think they look so cute with these New Look frilled socks! I cant wait to wear them again and again!

And that is my outfit today. I hoped you like this post and will consider making an outfit similar with your Christmas jumper! I am feeling so festive at the moment as I begin to count down the days and I hope you are too! Have a great Monday,

OOTW | Birthday Edition

Hey,
So today’s post is a fashion post of the outfits I wore over my birthday weekend. I’ve called it an OOTW but it’s really an outfit of the weekend! I hope you enjoy these few outfits, let me know in the comments below.

So day one was a casual family night to celebrate my Auntie’s birthday but it was also a sort of pre-birthday. I wore my favourite skirt, floral of course, and matched it with a white crop top and denim jacket. I like this look because it’s comfortable, casual but still party-ish.

Cant find Crop Top
Old Denim Jacket

The next day was Saturday and that was my birthday day and night. For the morning, I must be honest, I wore my pyjamas until about 10 o’clock! After that I wore a casual/formal outfit of my black skirt and pinky-purple top. I also wore a necklace I actually received on my birthday which was a golden wishbone necklace- which I LOVE.

The last day of my OOTW is the day I went out for a Sunday lunch with all of my family. On this day I wanted to look cute but comfortable, and it was also kind of semi-formal. I wore my sunflower skirt, black crop top, new triangle necklace and black brogue heels. I also put on this crochet cardigan to add a little bit of detail to the look.

So that’s all, I hope you liked this- it was quite a lot of work to sort out! I know I love OOTDs so I thought I would do a birthday edition for all my lovely readers. Thank you all for reading this, I hope you have a great evening,

OOTD: Summer Night + Floral Kimono | #summerstyle

So today's post is going to be an outfit post. I love reading these but I often find myself a bit unconfident in making them. However I was so excited to put together this outfit because recently I bought my first kimono. I adore the look of kimonos, and although I’ve owned similar garments, I have never had one myself. My kimono is black and floral, suiting well with my style, and is lined with tassels. I especially love how sheer this kimono is, so it is a great cover up on summer nights and is flattering because you can still see the body’s silhouette through.

Kimono- New Look £20
Crop Top- H&M £3.99
Skirt- H&M £12.99
Shoes- New Look OLD
Necklace- Dorothy Perkins OLD
Nails- Rimmel 60 seconds polish £3.69
Lips- No7 Lip Crayon ‘Delicate Pink’ £9.00

I love this outfit so much, I hope I will have a warm night to wear it on before autumn rolls around! Do you love kimonos? How would you style them? Have a wonderful week,
