Hey everyone. So last Saturday was one of the best days
ever, a great adventure and an inspiring experience. I also travelled down to
London and thought I’d share my day with you. Last week, I went to see Carrie
Hope Fletcher in Les Miserable at the Queens Theatre London.

Some Bad News And My Travel Diary: Bridport
Hey everyone. So there’s good news and bad. Let’s start with
the less optimistic information I’ve been coping with for the last week or so. I
was happily going along, writing the post of my summer favourites when my
laptop died. Out of nowhere, my laptop (or its battery) has gone and I now have
lost about three posts- which sucks. I am also having to use the family
computer now, which I have far less access too. I’m really annoyed because I
had so many planned posts but at the moment, it’s just not happening. So please
bear with me. I’ll work hard to post when I can but my schedule will pretty
much go out the window for the next week- I’m really sorry.
So on the other hand- there is a post for today. As you’ll
know if you read my travel beauty bag post: camping edition, I’ve been on a camping
holiday with my family. I thought it was time for another old classic, a ‘my
travel diary’ and I’ll chat to you about where we went: Bridport.

My Travel Diary- Bahrain and Dubai
Hey,
So over half term I went on holiday to Bahrain and Dubai in the Middle East. It was lovely and hot, so I thought you'd like to see some of my photos from my trip. We had four days in Bahrain and four days in Dubai.
Bahrain is a smaller, less well-known country, and I used to live there when I was younger. When we were there we mainly visited places we used to go, but also had a lot of beach and pool time.
In Dubai we stayed in Jumeirah beach, and got to see the tallest building, lots of sun and even a water park called 'Wild Wadi'.

So that's all my photos, I hope you enjoyed this next post in my 'my travel diary' series. Where was your last holiday? I hope you all have great days,

What's in my Carry On Bag?
Hey,
So this post is going to be an updated ‘what's in my carry
on bag’ post because I am going on holiday so soon, and this is one of my
favourite posts to do. Personally I love ‘what's in my bag’ posts, and thought
I would give you an insight to what I’m taking when I travel.
So I am going on a 12 hour journey, which includes a car
ride and plane trip, so I’ve put a lot of thought into everything I’m taking. I
also got a few new items to put in my carry on, as well as a new bag I am SO
excited to use!
So the first item I’m going to show you is the new bag. I am
in love with this backpack and think it’s so cute as well as being very
stylish. It’s one of the new square backpacks that are in fashion at the
moment, and it is from New Look. I am really impressed with the range of bags
New Look has in at the moment, and there are so many of these square
backpack-type bags. The bag I choose is a black faux leather backpack, with
gold hardwear and a statement zip on the front. I was so surprised with all the
space in this bag, you could even fit an A4 folder if you wanted!
The second item is a magazine. I like to read when I travel,
as it gives you something to do that isn’t evolved around technology but can
still keep you focsed. Magazines are great as they can give you a break from
reading books, and are more visual. The magazine I have is a Look magazine,
which I currently have a subscription to. I like fashion magazines to read but
there is such a range, so find one you like! A tip is to either save up on magazines
issues or buy lots of different ones so that you have multiple copies to read!
On the subject of reading, my next item is a book. This book is one I'm soooo excited to read! 'One Million Lovely Letters...' by Jodi Ann Bickley. I'll tell you how I get on with this, but it's great for travel because it's not a thick, hard-backed heavy book.
Following this is a different type of book. I love art and
find drawing and doodling so calming and therapeutic, so when I first saw adult
colouring books I got so excited! I bought myself this as a treat for my
holiday and it is the ‘secret garden’ adult colouring book. I can’t wait to use
this on my journey to my holiday, I think it will be great for on the plane and
spare time in the airport. These books can really range in price, but I got
mine for £6.97 from amazon.
The fifth, and sixth, items are notebooks. I like to write
down my thoughts, and am taking my blog notebook and a new one I bought for the
holiday. My holiday notebook is this pretty map design (I thought it would be
apt for the occasion), and I like to organise everything ‘holiday’ in it, from
a daily diary to outfit designs. In my blog book I simply schedule posts and
plan everything you see on this page!
So if I’m taking a drawing book and notebooks I am going to
need pens and pencils. So my seventh carry on bag item is a pencil case! This
pencil case is a blue and floral one pouch case. Inside I keep a range of pens
and pencils, as well as some staedtler colouring pencils and my new stabile
felt tips! I bought these pens after searching for them for ages. They were on
offer in WHSmiths, and thought I’d spurge. The pens are great quality, the
colour range is huge and the tip of the pen is just the right thickness.
Another pouch I’m bringing is one I’m using for my beauty items. This adorable floral pig pouch is from Primark and I think it was £3 ish. Inside I am keeping my liquids, that will be in a clear sandwich bag (because I’m going on a plane) and all the bits and bobs I think will be handy on the journey:-
·
So the first thing in my pouch is a mini
hairbrush and hairbands. Because I’m traveling for so long, I was really keen
to have something to control my hair. I find it most comfty to wear my hair down,
but if I want to put it up or brush it, I have these things handy.
·
The next thing is a pack of Simple wipes. As
I’ve said I’ll be traveling for quite a while, so I wanted some face wipes for
if I want to refresh my skin, take of my makeup or if my makeup smudges. I have
the smaller pack that simple do because it is more convenient.
·
I get quite dry hands, and whenever I go
anywhere I normally bring a hand cream with me. I decided to treat myself and
buy a new hand cream I’ve wanted to try for ages, the Soap&Glory ‘HandFood’. This is 50 ml so is ok on the flight, and I think it will come in
useful!
·
Another hand item I am putting in my pouch is
a hand sanitizer. I bought this because planes can be quite germ-y and I’ll
want to clean my hands before eating. I decided to buy the Carex ‘Moisture PlusHand Gel’, which not only cleans your hands but keeps them moisturised too.
This is great because some hand sanitizers can be really drying!
·
I am also taking some makeup. This is just
some simple but essential makeup for if I take my makeup off on the plane and
want to put some more on! So I'm taking a concealer, eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss stick and lip balm.
The last few items are my phone and some earphones. I use my phone
for music as well, and have updated it recently so I can listen to my favourite
music on the plane. To keep my headphones tidy, I also like to keep them in a small change purse, like this pink one.
And that’s all that’s in my bag! I hoped you enjoyed taking a look
into my carry on bag, if you have any other travel tips, please leave them in
the comments!

My Travel Diary - Sorrento, Italy '14
Hey everyone,
So last week I went on holiday! I wanted to start a long-running series on my blog where I can show you some of my travels, for example holidays and weekends away. This new series, called 'my travel diary', will include some photos and my thoughts- although these images will not normally feature people as I am not comfortable with sharing photos of my friends/ family online.
These photos are just a snapshot of some of the things I did this holiday, I'm sorry the quality isn't great either- but it's quite good considering it's take on a basic camera (with a horrid focus and zoom)!
My holiday this year was a school trip to Sorrento for 6 days. Sorrento is a picturesque town on the coast of Italy, near to Naples. I found the location stunning, filled with a beautiful blue seas and gorgeous Italian houses. The weather was beautiful all week and our small Hotel, the Hotel Cavour, fitted our needs, as a school trip, well. I did so many amazing things, and made lots of new friends, as well as luckily getting to explore many cultural sites.
In this jam-packed week I climbed Mount Vesuvius, visited the Pompeii ruins, made pizza, visited a mozzarella farm, made Gelato (Itailen ice cream) and ate a lot of it, as well as going on many visits into
Sorrento town and market. On one day I also got to go on a boat trip, with deckchairs like a cruise ship, to Amalfi- where we spent time in the town and on the beach! One amazing memory I made from this was jumping off the boat into the sea with my best friend, we were nervous but the water was warm and it was so much fun.
I was very privileged to get to go on this trip with my school, and would definitely encourage anyone who has the chance to take it, as you meet a lot of people and learn so much about them. I got to go with my friends as well, and I think we all had an incredible time.
I ate a lot of good food, bought a lot of souvenirs, put on a lot of sun cream and made a lot of memories. I miss you, Sorrento, so much and hope one day I can come back again!

What's in my Travel Hand Luggage? | #summerstyle
So I love what’s in my bag type videos/posts so today I
thought I’d have one themed around #summerstyle. Summer brings holidays and
holidays bring hand luggage, and seeing as I’m going on holiday soon I decided
to do a what’s in my travel hand luggage.
The holiday I have packed this for is with school, so I will
not personally carry my passport and I had a bag in the hold, so these are just
my on-plane essentials.
My bag is a faux brown leather satchel from Primark and it was just £8.
The first thing is a must have for me, fuzzy socks. As soon
as I’m on a coach or plane for a long time I just have to put on my fuzzy
socks. They keep my feet warm and comfy and relaxed all through a journey. Mine
are just an old white pair with pink spots.
The other thing is a tiny pencil case with some pens and
pencils. I always take a notebook; see later, so a pen is a must needed item
for me!
The next item is a purse with some money for the airport. I
love this purse, which I got from a friend for my birthday, because it is a
really practical size and looks so cute. It is a mix of pastel shades, mainly
pink/ nude faux leather, and a pretty floral pink. In this purse there is a
section for cash and cards. Sadly my version is not available but there are
similar ones for similar prices at http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/bags-purses/purses/_/N-9ujZc7l?No=20&Nrpp=20&Ns=sort.price.uk%7C0
The next items are my liquids so are in a separate clear
plastic bag to take out at the airport. I don’t like to take too many liquids
because it is a bit of a fuss, but I like to take a lip balm for dry lips and
some hand lotion to moisturise my hands.
The other item is a camera. Because it is a school holiday,
I didn’t want to take an expensive camera that I’d worry about loosing. This is
my old battery pink camera in a plain black camera case for protection.
The next thing in my bag is a small zip coin purse which I
keep my Skullcandy ear-bud headphones in. I do this so they don’t get lost or
tangled, and so I always know where they are. I love my headphones as they work
well and never sound leak.
To go with them is my iphone which I use as an ipod for my
journey. Some songs I am really loving at the moment are Classic by MKTO, Eliza
Doolittle’s old albums and What a Night by the Lovable Rouges (an old summer
favourite for me).
A book is always necessary for me, and I am currently still
ready my June book which is ‘Paper Towns’ by John Green. I am really enjoying
this book at the moment, like most of John Green’s work, but if you want to
know more I will be doing a review next month.
The other items are notebooks which are so key to a journey,
especially with school. I take an old notebook for games like squares and
hangman. This is great for passing the time and having some old-fashion fun.
The last item is my special blog-organising notebook. I keep
this Cath Kidston notebook with a calendar of each month and mark on my ideas
for blog post. I am yet to plan into July so I am hoping to do this on the
plane or coach when I am on holiday!
And that’s all that’s in my travel bag. Did you enjoy this
type of post? What’s your summer travelling essential? Let me know in the
comments below,
Have a wonderful summery week,

My Travel Make Up Bag
Hey,
So this post is going to be my travel make up bag products.
I am going away for a casual family long-weekend holiday, so I have decided to
review my products I am currently finding essential. I’d like to say that this
was a small collection and the holiday won’t include any dressy nights, so I
didn’t pack for this
So to start, my little travel make up bag is this cute brown
faux leather and navy floral print. I adore the pattern and the leather means
it is easy to wipe of stains. The wording on the label reads ‘make me
beautiful’, which I think is so cute and sweet.
The first product in my make up bag is my ‘Collection,
Lasting Perfection’ foundation in the shade ‘Porcelain’. I ran out of an old
foundation about a month ago, and wanted to try something new so I tried this.
I have been liking this as an everyday foundation but sometimes I do find it a
little heavy and hard to blend in on my skin. I think the shade is warm to your
skin but very occasionally I do feel conscious of being tinted orange? Overall
I like this foundation though, although the pump packaging gets very messy. It is available for £5.99 here: http://www.boots.com/en/Collection-Lasting-Perfection-Foundation_984439/
My powder is the ‘Rimmel, Stay Matt’ powder which I use
every day to set my foundation and matt my skin. I love this product so much
and rely on it everyday. I have repurchased this 3 or 4 times so far and I
think it is great if you don’t want to spend too much on expensive powders,
like me. The powder is available, in the new packaging, for £3.99 here: http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Stay-Matte-Pressed-Powder_1015573/
Next I won’t talk much about, it is a much loved product on
my blog- the ‘Body Shop, Lip butter’ in coconut. I use this to moisturise my
lips every day. Available here, for £4.00: http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/coconut/coconut-lip-butter.aspx
I think this product was in my ‘April favourites post’
(read: http://mydaisychaincloset.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/my-monthly-favourites-april.html) and it is my ‘Kate Moss’ lipstick in ‘08’. This shade is a lovely
everyday wearable rosy pink tone. I would describe this lipstick as your lips
but better, and the consistently lasts well. I use this lipstick all the time,
just to add a little to my lips and I must say it is beautiful. It is available
here, for £3.99: http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Kate-Lasting-Finish-Lipstick_1230439/
This product’s packaging has come away, but it is basically
a felt tip eyeliner from Primark, yes Primark, and cost only £1.50. I love this
product, for the price it is a brilliant make up item. I use this a lot to line
my eyes and create different looks. It is well pigmented and build-able, and
the nib of the pen is small which I find very useful. Mine is in a black shade,
and has lasted me a few months so far!
Next are mascaras. I did a review on some mascaras very
early on this year, (read: http://mydaisychaincloset.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/mascara-vrs-review.html) and basically I use two. This one is my ‘Max
Factor, false lash effect’ in the shade ‘black/brown’. I like this mascara as
an everyday mascara, because it extends my lashes and the ‘black/brown’ shade
is really wear-able and cute. I find the colour less shocking, so good for
natural/ school looks. You can buy it here for £10.99, http://www.boots.com/en/Max-Factor-False-Lash-Effect-Mascara_641711/
The other mascara I take around is from ‘BarryM’. It is
their ‘3in1, intense black mascara’. I use this mascara on weekend or when I’m
going out. It makes my lashes look fake and bold, enough to extend their look
and make a statement. I don’t use this everyday because I do find it can clump
and the look is a bit too much for school. It is available here, for £6.19: http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-3-in-1-Mascara_947301/
The next product was a freebie from ‘No.7’ a while ago and
I’ve been really liking it for spring/summer. The product is a lip crayon in a
glittery pink shade, and I love to wear this with or without my Kate Moss
Lipstick. It’s not as good as many other lip crayons though, and I am looking
for a new one, do you have any recommendations? It is available here, for
£9.00, although I don’t think it’s worth that http://www.boots.com/en/No7-High-Shine-Lip-Crayon_1310100/
Next is eye shadow. I don’t have any space for pallets so I
am just taking one circular 3 pallet. This is my ‘No.7, good earth’ pallet that
comes with a high, low and medium shade. These are great to build up looks or
for everyday wear. I find these eye shadows last well and the shades are a
lovely neutral set. It is available here, for £9.50, http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Stay-Perfect-Eyeshadow-Trio_1273275/
The last things in my make up bag are my brushes. I am
taking my eyelash curlers (came from a no.17 set), an eye brow brush and 3
brushes for eye shadow. For eye shadow I have packed an angled brush, a lid
brush and a small brush (to add contour shades).
So that’s all, I hope you have enjoyed this post and leave
me a comment about your make up essentials in your travel make up bag,
