Positivty Post #4

Hey,
So I was reviewing some of my posts over the last few months and I realised that I haven’t written a ‘Positivity Post’ in a long while. I like these posts quite a lot because I feel like I can talk about my favourite quotes and also be open with you. Today, I am focusing on this quote below.

Recently I had one of those days when nothing seems to go your way. As much as these are just the few off days that I have, it doesn’t make them any less hard or battering to face. The cause can be anything from the lack of your favourite food to the feeling of loneliness and these negative feelings drive a domino effect to the rest of your day. Bit by bit, I always end up feeling hopeless and weak but without a fair cause to justify it. I think one of the worst parts of these days are the way I begin to judge myself, questioning why I feel the way I do and wrapping myself in a coat of guilt.

The challenge, I find, is getting out of these feelings. I generally feel like I am being dragged into a never ending black hole on my worst days, but I know now that this simply isn’t the case, my vision is just clouded and I can’t see the light. Sometimes it takes only a few minutes, other times it’s a sleep and the beginning of a new day I need. There are many ways to battle your harmful thoughts and they are personal to everyone. For me, I like to have a bath, read, relax and watch Youtube but other times I like to go out for a walk, get active and start a new activity to fill my day.

What I like about this quote is it really crystallises the idea of being saved by the good after the bad, and finding the sunlight after the storm. I like how simple the quote portrays the idea and I love Les Mis as a musical (although I didn’t realise at first that this quote was from it).

Everyone has bad days, no human on Earth can live in a solely cheerful existence, so I feel that this quote is very relatable. I also find it inspiring even on good days, because it promises a better tomorrow and I think that that is always a motivating idea.

I would absolutely adore it if you could also take a moment to reflect on this quote, feel free to leave a comment below. I hope you all have a wonderful next few days as February draws to a close and thank you to everyone who continues to support me and my blog,
